Fuel Starvation?

Fuel Starvation?
Buddy of mine has a 300 with a fuel problem. Give it gas it stumbles, let it idle, and it just idles with no problems. its kinda an emergency situation. can someone tell me how to fix this? thanks in advance.

call me old fashioned, but we checked the filter, and it was pouring clear gas... it isn't blocked. put that back together and it kept starving under load, so i finally took some transmission fluid and poured it into the carb. i don't know why it worked, but it cured the problem, but made it smoke like a tar kiln. it runs great now though. doesn't flood at idle and doest hesitate. can someone explain this to me?

Fuel Starvation?
Atf is IMHO the best carb cleaner in the world. It also cleans valves etc. You probably had something gummed up and the atf cleared it out. Try putting a quart or so in the tank once a month. You will be amased at how well it works. It will stop smoking (you probably have some atf in the cat.)
