Exhaust Systems??
Just wondering what all you guys are running for exhaust systems on these 96-97 F350 7.3 TD? I'm going to be removing my exhaust mainfolds to replace the gaskets due to them leaking, and was thinking that this would be a good time to upgrade to the new style down pipe and getting rid of the cat. I just dont know what would be the best full system to get and where would be the best place to buy it. any recommendations would be great!! THANKS!!!

these trucks dont have manifold gaskets on them, if its leaking its either busted bolts or warped manifolds, you can get gasket service kits or new manifolds aftermarket.
as for exhaust, i am running the 3 inch round downpipe to 4 inch straight exhaust

So the 7.3L TD's dont have exhaust mainfold gaskets? Wow that seems different. I guess it might have a warped mainfold, it seems to be leaking at the rear exhaust port at the mainfold on the drivers side. I'm use to working on gas engines, I just thought theses might have had a gasket between there. Well is it best to jsut get new manifolds or have it resurfaced? What is a gasket service kit? And what brand or kind of 3" down pipe and streight pipe are you running. You like it? THANKS!!

Dale over at tymarperformance dot com will hook you up. he carry's hypermax and develops his own down pipes that start out 3" and exit 4" and in between. he can ceramic coat them too. as for me 3"-3.5" dp up to 4" into a flowmaster outlaw muffler and then bango... 5" stacks. good luck man

make sure you dont have a busted bolt back there. the 460 trucks didnt have manifold gaskets either, you can get the new manifolds from lmctruckparts.com much cheaper then from ford. the gaskets will probably hold up ok as long as they are the steel ones

i dont know, no pics, never heard of them, i would stick with a name brand, you can find whole kits for 300 bucks, or just get a down pipe, then 4 inch bulk pipe and make your own

Where could I get the entire kit for 300 bucks at coon? They got a pretty good review and a good store.
