Motor Towers
Im not able to find any motor towers that are right for my truck. I believe i was told 351m/400 towers I needed...I been using my 300 mounts in my 76 with a 302 everything seems to work ok but I want to know how different they are and will it affect anything? I might have to redo my towers and move them toward the front of the engine now since I am installing a automatic transmission so the shifter will be in the correct location. any advice

You can use the mount supports from '73-'79 for sure (and may be back before that) from a 302 or 351M/400 application-they are the same, its just the motor mounts themselves that are different, I'm a little surprised that you were able to use supports from a 300 six to set a 302 on.
