If you want one with the best mileage and performance, look at the 95-97's with the 5.8. These are the roller 351's and the mileage difference between it and the same truck with a 5.0/302 is nil. I had a 95 E150 van with a 5.8 and it would run rings around a friends 93 that had a 302 but the mileage difference was zero. And the 302 had a 3.08 rear vs mine with a 3.55 rear. I'd leave it fuel injected as well.
I've been trying to look at what there is for fuel injected engines. What would I have to do to it commputer and injection wise? to run a mild cam, headers, exhaust and intake? If fuel injection is going to be cheaper than I'll stick with that.

Should I put an intake on that 5.8 too? I shouldn't have to do anything to the cummputer or injection with just the rockers, headers, exhaust and intake should I?
