I have a 63' unbody that came from the factory with a 292, but i have straight six hood emblems and the straight six emblem is also embroidered in the seat, why is that?
The seats I think all have the same emblem. My 66 custom cab has the same emblem on the seat but it came with a 352. The hood would hard to esplain because my 61 truck had the v-8 emblem with the 292 in it.
1961/64 F Series trucks all use the same hood emblem: C1TZ-16607-B.
1965/66 6 cylinders used the 61/64 hood emblem.
1965/66 V8's used a different hood emblem: C5TZ-16607-A
The lightening bolt and gear (some versions include 5 stars) was the FoMoCo Corporate Symbol for 1957/66 F Series trucks.
1961/66: It appeared not only on the seats backrest, but in the center of the 61/64 and some 65/66 floor mats, and on some horn buttons. It also was on brochures, owners manuals, shop manuals, parts catalogs, etc.

I was hoping to beable to emboride the old (lighting Boltemblem) into my seat cover on my 65 newly restore Slick; Had to settle for the Ford oval emblem instead.
