Missing Oil Filter Parts!
I have just discovered that Ford left out a very important part on my '03 6.0..
There is a tube which fits inside the oil filter housing, sealed by a gasket on the bottom and held in place by a torx screw. This part, called "oil tube" part # 3C3Z-6C755-AA, was missing from my oil filter housing.
The tube is about 8 inches long, black plastic, has a spring loaded top end to place pressure against the inside of the filter itself.
Without this part, there is no way for the oil to be filtered...
I have 106K miles, mostly uneventful, but what can I expect in the future when the oil has NEVER been filtered???
Has anyone else found this part missing?

Sorry to hear about your problem but you will need to check the tech forums for information on that 6.0. Click on the Forums tab at the upper left and scroll over the list. There is a lot of talk in the Super Duty board and more information in the forum for that engine. Try them out and you'll get the help you need.
