transfer case not engageing
just replaced m5r1 5 speed and new clutch. everything is working fine except that no 4 high or 4 low. both lights will flash 5 to 6 times at start up and while driving down the road. of course its electronic control. maybe control module bad? any ideas?

If your truck is a '98 (why make us guess?), it would be worthwhile to check all the fuses related to the 4WD system (#s 9, 10, 26, and 27 in the interior cab fuse box, and also fuse # 3 located in the power distribution box under the hood).

Right on, good to hear you found out what the problem was. If you 'new one' is actually a used one from another truck, may consider cleaning that bad boy before you bolt 'er back in, to prevent future problemos. But, if you got a new factory model, good on ya! I hear those things usually go for a lot more these days.
