Forklift propane

Does anyone know if I can use forklift cylinders with a propane reddy heater? We have a heater at hte shop and an abundance of forklift cylinders. Thanks

The valve on a forklift tank lets out liquid propane, your heater needs vapor - unless you want a big fire use the proper tank.

Thanks, I was unsure if I would get vapor by standing it up.

Different coupler also.
However, some older tanks had four couplers on the top. The main connector for the forklift, the fill port, and two that are like a grill connector, one marked vapor and the other marked liquid. This style you can use with a grill.
