This might be related to my untuned computer, so i dont know ...see what you fellas think...
With the cruise set and going up and down hills..... as im going down a hill at lets say 65mph it will fluxuate up and down....like slow down and speed back up, or speed up and then slow down...what ever....kinda pulsing really... its really weird.... only does this once and a while...not every hill.... but only on the down hills..
my truck was doing the same thing. i found out my rear axle spiders are worn out so bad that the backlash is incredible. that was my problem. good luck
Did your truck also make wierd noises like a differential clunk when hard turning.... its not the Limted slip problem that people have.... it something completely different...
maybe your cruise control cable is getting bound up somehow. I had to replace mine because of similar symptoms and the cable had worn into the casing and was getting bound up. take your tb cover off and twist the throttle bracket and see if the cable snaps back or just kind of hangs out there for awhile.
i have not noticed any noises from it when i turn just way to much back lash and side to side movement. if you have heard about a different problem with the 8.8 ls rear end please let me know im going to rebuild it soon as i get the parts
Does it accelerate while trying to go up a decent hill ?....Keep in mind that cruise control tries to keep the speed constant without your control.......some decelerating and accelerating is normal while going over hills and over pass'es
