fuel shimming

who has shimmed their fuel reg.
was there a noticable power improvement at any specific rpm.
my buddy did his and just says wow, thats all i got from him.

i shimmed mine to 65-70psi and noticed nothing. might help but i felt no noticable difference.

I shimmed my regulator to about 70-75. I get a little more throttle response, this really needs to be done in conjuntion with hutch mod to see a benefit I think.

I'm a bigger fan of making sure the fuel volume is constant and at around 60 psi.
You'll get better top end power that way.
After all the work that I've done to my truck it's VERY easy to hit the rev limiter when accellorating. It just doesn't quit pulling.

Stay tuned to FTE for a report on DFA's full replacement FASS fuel system. Jason told me it would be shipped out this week, hopefully over the Thanksgiving holiday I will have time to get it installed. currently I am monitoring fuel pressures(stock shimmed setup) at all RPM ranges and loads. will be doing the same when the DFA kit gets installed and will do a comparison for yall.

Yessir, yessir I did. I figured at 250K+ miles my fuel pump needed replacing anyway, so what the hay...
