sparkplug wires

hello, i have a '82 f-150 w/ 300ci. and converted 3sp. i need new sparkplug wires. what are the best ones that i dont have to cut-to-length? i would like to have a colored set also.

Hi Pete,

The only ones that come to mind are "Accel" but have not used them in years and not sure if they are still the best.

I can tell you what not to get; Borg Warner. They don't fit real tight and tend to pop off.

Crane fireball wires are good for the I-6, and less than $30. But they only come in Henry Ford's favorite color, black and black.

Some good ones i used where the bosch platinum from autozone. cast me 20 bucks. but they only come in one color unless you have some spraypaint.

I've tried several different wires including Accel, Bosch and most of the parts store brands. I've gone back to Motorcraft and will probably stick with them. I havn't found anything that will last longer or perform noticably better for the same money.
