6 Cd Changer Problems
I recently purchased off ebay a 6-cd player for my '06 XL; the unit came out of a '06 Lariat. The am/fm will work but I can't get the CD player to work or even except a CD... The unit is displaying things like...Player Error; Slots full or something like that.
Does anyone know if the CD player won't work because mines an XL and it came out of a Lariat. I know mine doesn't have the steering wheel control wiring harness.
The guy I bought it from said is was working fine when he pulled it out and he took all the CDs out before removing it.

My 02's 6 CD player did that also. This is a big problem with Ford 6 CD players. I sent just the CD part to Rive Automotive Electronics in California. They fixed it for about $90 in a week.

I put a 6 CD into my XLT. It didn't mess up in the beginning, but it eventually started having the same problems that yours is. I had all 6 slots full, and it kept saying that there wasn't any disks in. It wouldn't let me eject my CDs, so I got the single CD player, and I had to take the other one apart to get my CDs out.
