2004 fx4 f150 defroster problems

2004 fx4 f150 defroster problems
when i select the defroster and turn the fan on high, i have low airflow through the the defrost vents, and high airflow through the ac vents.....the defrost vents airflow is still low when i close the ac vents, but you can hear it working hard behind the dash console.....anyone else have this problem, or know what the problem is and the solution?

yeah, I had that happen twice. I have electronic temp control and the first time dealer told me actuator arm popped off. Few weeks later happens again, this time dealer replaces plenum and all has been fine ever since. Problem happened in Jan '04 and fixed under warranty of course.
