I don't think your truck has the pats system so any key should work once it is cut to match. Heres a previous post about this.

You guys were right on. Appartently, my ignition could have been changed out at some time and the vehicle it came from had PATS, because it is for sure a pats key. I took the chip out of the only working key I had, and then proceeded to drive the vehicle to the locksmith and had a couple chipless ford blanks cut. Made 3 more stops and drove 20 more miles, no problem. This site always suprises me... Thanks for the help. Happy Holiday! -Ken in IL
