New Old Guy
Hi: I am new to the club thing, and I AM RETIRED AND 70 YEARS. I am just not ready to roll over and give it up yet. I live in the L.A.area. I have been a FORD truck owner for many years. The older channel lock and crecent wrench models didn't give me to much problems to repair and keep running. My first truck was 1948 FORD, that as a kid I quickly destroyed. I guess we all must have some saddness in our lives. Sure wish still had it. I at present have two trucks 1985 f150 lariat and 1996 ford xlt. I have driven the 85 to and from work city driving for 20 YEARS. STILL RUNS VERY GOOD. I got the bug to treat myself after I retired and bougrht the 96. Very clean no rust of any kind local truck with all the goodies. I am now to the point of this posting fuel injection and electrontics. I am going to need some help with these, out of my time zone I hope I can depend on all of you for some feed back in the near future on these and anythig else I may need help with. Be kind to a old man please you know it sometimes takes us a long time to get it.
It may take a little while to get the hang of this site but it`s a lot of good reading.
Too bad about the 1948 Ford truck but I know what you mean as I`ve had some dandy old Ford rides over the years that I wish I still had.
You have two fine Ford trucks to enjoy.
By posting in the fuel injection and electronic forums help will be on the way.
No problem with being kind to a old man as quite a few of us here are that!
Be sure to drop an intro in your local CA chapter: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum163/
