Guy's
After reading the latest post about the D.P tuner I have some question's!
I have the Full spread of D.P tunes, Big head W/G and all the normal mods. You guy's mentioned throwing codes on the 140 setting, Do I have to hook up a A.E or some other type of OBII reader to see if I am getting codes? The truck runs great on 140, (actally I cant tell much of a difference between 120 and 140 except the SMOKE is intense on the 140) Ive never had an issue, How do I know If my HPOP can handle the 140 tune? Am I hurting the truck running the 140? The only time I have had a SESS light was without the ITP overboost!
Just curious, Thanks
Rich
Without scanning for codes, you've already answered that when you said "actally I cant tell much of a difference between 120 and 140 except the SMOKE is intense on the 140". Your HPOP isn't putting out any more pressure, but the 140 is calling for more fuel. That's why you get more smoke but the same power between the two.
Also, your SES should come on when you throw a P1211 code (low ICP). However I have been in a truck and scanned it while it threw that code, and the SES light never came on. Some trucks here and there just store the code but don't set a light.
Am I hurting the truck running the 140?
No, the HPOP can't keep up, but it's not hurting anything. Have fun with the smoke.

Thanks Pocket, rep points to you, because I often wondered the same thing about my truck and no SES light on ever! 25lbs of boost and still no light!
Thanks guy's! Now I know, I wondered why I couldnt tell much of a diff between 120 and 140! Is there anything I can do to help the HPOP other than replace it?

Replacing it with another stock HPOP is only going to give you the same results. Jody can detune it a bit to pull back some of that ICP, but where's the fun in that? If you want to fix it for good and get lots of extra power, get a dual HPOS. It cost $$$$ though, but definately a great upgrade.
I found playing with my 140 smoke tune that I can wot to start off then ease back on the pedal keeping no more that 25# boost and it keeps pulling hard. I don't know if I am crazy or it seems to work better. No turbo surge doing it like that. Am I crazy or what?
my truck never showed an SES light untill the other day, in 5th when im hard one it right around 2500 rpm it flickers a couple times and then is gone...I dunno why its starting to do it now all of a sudden
