I got another ? here for the brains out there. I have a 52 f-2 and when I got it the exhaust was already rotted off to the header. I'm getting the frame back from the blaster tonight and am going to start that process now but I'm not sure how the ehaust runs. I hav an idea but not posative if it goes out the back out the side or if it dumps down before leaving the bed? Any help would be appreciated thanks Casey.
I talked to dennis carpenter and they only deal with f-1 and I have a f-2. some of the stuff will work but they are going to have to check the oldnew stock stuff they don't put in the catalogs. so we will see
I would imagine the F-2 should have the same exhaust as the F-1 but with a short stub to make up for the longer wheel base. I had an exhuast system made for my '49 F-2 at a local muffler shop. It cost a few bucks more than if I would have ordered the parts plus it was done in a day and didn't have to crawl around on the ground trying get everthing lined up and tight enough. I have the flat six in mine and I have it running all the way to the back and dumping out behind the rear wheel, just before the rear bumper.
