High Beams

I have a problem with my high beams, they dont work! Low beams work and when the switch is pushed to use high beams i lose all headlights.if i try to pull it toward me, flash to pass, i get the same result. bulbs are all good, so im thinking that it must be the switch. but i dont know where it would be. inside the steering column?? if so is this sometihng that would be an easy fix? thanks alot for any help
oh its on an 03 F-250 5.4. if that makes a difference. thanks again

Yes, the switch is called a multifunction switch. It's in the steering column. Before you replace the switch inspect the wiring in the steering column closely. Make sure you don't have a pinched or broken wire.

It isn't hard to replace. Last one I had replaced at the Ford dealer (it was there for something else) was a 15 minute labor charge.

ok thanks redfors, ill look at the wiring. i was looking at the steering column and it looks like there are 4 screws on the bottom of it. do you know if a regular screwdriver will remove them or are they something special?
thanks
