Chimes unplugged

Found it, felt it and listened to it then unplugged it. That noisy little SOB has an awful lot of wires plugged into it and that has me wondering does it disconnect anything else except what dings on my OBS, Ign & head lights?

Is there something else that dings that I don;t know about and possibly not working? Should i be worried?

Anything will help to give peace of mind.

The wires are for: key in ignition, head lights on key out of ignition and who knows what else.

You may be able to fill it with hot glue & plug it back in

I've done that in the past...Not sure if it will work for you..

I bow to the Lords of knowledge, the SOB is silent and I'm
happier than a Ho on payday night with a credit card machine.

Thank you again.

And with it unplugged, what happens if you forgive to turn off the lights? does it have a different chime?

Question

OK, I suppose that but why not use a switch to bypass it when not needed?.

FYI you can just unplug (at the chime box) the wire that goes to ignition switch, This way it will not chime with the key in, but it will chime every time you open the door with the lights on because it can no longer tell if the key is in or out. Just my $.02

Thanks for your input.
