I'm not going to riddle the forum witha bundle of threads...Scout's honor. But I do have one more question.
I have a noise, though I feel it through the wheel as much as hear it. When the left front hits a bumb, more when the wheel is turned than not, I hear a "clunky" noise, and feel a sharp vibration in the wheel.
It may be nothing, but I'm paranoid. I hit a dog the other day. Beagle. Not terribly big, but it went directly under the front left. No visible damage...not even to the bumber cover.
Anyway, I have the air suspension if that adds anything to the mix. The vehicle still tracks ok, and the suspension airs up fine, and passes the auto check.
I had a similar sounding clunk so I tightened my sway bar end links and the noise went away. I couldn't understand when a week later it started again so I took it to the shop and they replaced both lower control arms. They said there was some problem with them where the holes the end links went into would wear out allowing the links to move around. They replaced the lowers and the problem was solved. Take it in and have it looked at, it could be something you'd never think of like my situation.
I'd also look at the front sway bar. I developed a clunk sound which was noticable going over bumps. Turned out the bushings were at fault. Dealership replaced them and noise went away.
