how hard is it to replace the fuel pump on a 86 f150 2wd 351w? mine is leaking fuel and i would like to save money and do it myself it it is not too hard to do.
where is leaking gas from? The pump is inside the tank so it won't leak. If there is gas around the O ring on the top of the tank it may just be the gasget {like mine is doing}
It's not hard to drop the tank....a pain in the @$$ yes, but not too bad. If your lucky you MIGHT reach it from the top, mine has a body lift on it.....got to sit at an awkward {sp} angle, but I did all the work like that, also the 2nd option is what lots of folks do on here is either take the bed off, or if you don't mind....cut an "access" door in the bed above the O ring.
