Talking Now I Know Why...

people like the hybrid race tune so much. I finally managed to load it into my truck and I just couldn't stop having fun with that little honey of a tune. Unfortunately, I think I lost about 1 to 1.5 mpg(I couldn't remember the last hand calc I did before I just filled up today, but I'm pretty sure I did lose that much and I had that tune on there for that tank) when I was using it due to the fun factor but it was fun coming off the line. Between the louder whistle of the turbo and the tires barking I did scare some of the housewives with the minivans that were right next to me at the light. Good times, although I think I might want to put the econo tune back on there for awhile anyway.

you may loose more, that's not a bad drop for the extra tire and FUN factor!!what are you getting for economy w/ it and before?? what was the previous tune for mileage comparison?

I was getting almost 15(I hit 16 once, but that was long ago and before the injectors) and I was running two different tunes pretty frequently. One was a mild street tune(which Evan told me it is the same as the Agg. Street with stock injectors) and the other is a tow tune that Matt had written for me specifically for hauling the horses(we had it detuned quite a bit so that way I wouldn't cause damage to the cargo I was hauling) and those were the two that I was averaging round 15. I had put in that hybrid race for the first tank and I was getting round mid to low 13's with that first tank full, now I also had quite a few town trips as well in there, might have been better if I was able to stretch the ole girls legs some on the road.

LOL! Give it up :-P I tried to be Econo wise.. Just doesn't work.. I've been running Ultra Comp Street, I'm constantly slamming gears and she pulls a solid 15mpg on 35's.. I lit the MT's up the other day, it was nothing but white and black smoke, some sideways action and a rubberband shootoff.. Talk about FUN! Course I had some little punk next to me who kept hitting his rev limiter while we driving down the road.. So of course I just threw it in Neutral, and just slammed the pedal.. Wind was blowing in his favor, I believe he was choking on diesel Soot LMAO..

I did that the other nite to someone in a SC430 convertible that had the top down. He wasn't expecting the ole girl to move like she was. I tell you what it is some fun that's for sure. I just have the stage 1's in there, I wonder what would happen if I went higher up....

I'll be nice once I get my stacks in.. I don't like doing that, but then.. If your going to ride next to me hitting your rev limiter.. Then I'm going to mess with you, I'm just more dangerous LMAO.. We were only going about 40.. Guess he was bored (shrug)

I know what you are saying, I just my tuner and tunes just a little time ago and loaded the hybrid file and WOW. It's one bad mother. My fuel mileage dripped also, but I would not keep my foot out of it. I put the aggr street econ back in. Mileage is climbing back up now. Hybrid is for weekends only

Funny thing is that I was really nervous about doing the bigger injectors as this was the first truck that I really done more then just the stereo upgrade, but boy am I enjoying this truck a whole lot more now. IT is unbelievable what they are capable of with the right nudging. Now if Matt could just get his website expanded some more so I can think of some more goodies.
