I've looked through the posts and can't find the answer i'm looking for. My apologies if i've missed it.
Anyway, I have a 97 f450 dump that i've installed a new brake controller and 7 pin connector on. The old wiring was hosed. Right now i have the controller and the trailer battery connections wired right to the battery with an inline fuse. I've seen the fuse box layout on this forum and it shows fuses for both of these connections. My questions is, where can i tap into these wires so that i can use the factory fuses? Thanks for your help.
I can't answer your question but I might suggest just using it as it is. With one exception. Replace the fuse with a circuit breaker. They make them 12V in various amps. You can run a hot lead to one side of it then use the other side for your trailer battery. If you ever need to wire in something else that needs a fuse use the breaker. I have done that for years on my rigs.
