79 INline6 Performance
Hey Fellas a big question? What is the most horsepower and the highest performance i can get out of my truck without using a turbo? It has a manual tranny. I want it to hall ***. I have a friend rebuilding his ch vy, and i'm restoring and rebuilding my truck so a friendly wager is in process.

how big is ur wallet? u can get 600hp with enough money. but if ur friend is rebuilding a 350 then ur pretty well out. u can get a iffy intake, 4 barrel or i seen a triple duece set up on a 200 straight 6 in a mustang, header/exhaust, overbore it, raise compression, cam it up, fordged pistons, new ignition. with that u might hit 400hp at the flywheel. the 300 isnt a rac engine its a work engine with lots of low end torque. when u and ur friend finish ur projects see could pull each other (use a chain and just pull) and u'll see thats where the 300 really shines.
