Well I bought an other PSD a few days a go! I found a 97f-250 with 141K on it with the 5sp and 3.55 ex cab. so now the big black beast isgetting cleaned up and put up for sale. but my left foot is so happy to have a job again! all and all the truck seems to be in good shape, and even with the 3.55 it seems to have tons of low end power, it alspo is starthing much better than the old truck. now it;s time to fixit up alittle. j
i bought mine for $3000 with 240k on the clock. i have had to fix some problems though, so i have like $5000 in it after the repairs and i still gotta get a couple small things fixed on 'er
Yea. the thing that is pizzin me off though is that people want 13k for their 200k mile 350.
I can get an 02 diesel for 9k!
well what do you think obs's should be going for? cause i know KBB.com says they are worth it. although mine had less than 200k. i know this isnt an attack on me. but these obs trucks are still valuable for a reason. that is the same reason you want one.
Naw ryan, your not the only one, Your truck is very sharp though too and has lots of mods.
That does make a diff!!
There are people out there wanting more then you want for an un modded truck with rust, and more miles.
I know KBB says this and that. but KBB also said that my 91 ford nite was worth 7k when i baught it in 2003.
Its just aggrivateing to me to look for a nice truck, and see such insane prices, and have newer lower mile vehicles selling for less.
The OBS trucks are now at the point where parts are not being made for them also. Like the front wheel 4x4 spindle I needed for my 95. There was one left in a dealership in the US in georgia. They only made them for 94-95 for my truck, so no aftermarket companies are going to pick them up.
Things I think of.
As for a NICE PSD. 8-9k is a good range IMO.
I'd prefer to pay around 5-7 for one. Because almost any of them I will find, with what I want, will either be no miles, or lots of miles. And as soon as I buy it I'll probably have to dump 1 or 2 grand into it. It just does not seem plausable to sell a truck for so much even though there will be work needed to be done to it.
I baught my truck for an overpriced price, but I wont be able to sell it for even a decent fraction of that either.
I got what i wanted, but now its falling appart thanks to michigan salt. And its beyond fixable in some areas, And all you fools in here held me down and drained my gas blood and replaced it with diesel fuel. (thanks for useing high sulfer fuel too)
