88 ford f150 i rebuilt the motor got it running and everything and now the power steering isnt working. its full of fluid and its making that whining sound like there isnt enough fluid in it. i tried jacking up the front end and turning the wheels left and right with the engine running hoping all it needed was to bleed the air out but i had no luck with that. anyone have any ideas?

I've always bled them with the engine off? Jack it up & turn the steering wheel all the way left & right several times, it'll purge fluid out the top of the pump so you might want to put some rags around the pump to catch the fluid.
ok i tried that and still no luck. when i hit the gas in park its easier to turn the steering wheel but its still whining loud. when i bled it out i mustof turned the wheel 10-15 times back and forth. it worked before i rebuilt the engine....
Let it sit for a day or 2 then bleed it with the engine off, wheels off the ground. Go from end to end as slow as you can 15 or so times. Then start the engine and repeat.
