MSD 6A istalation question
How hard would it be to intall an MSD 6A on my '84? It is computer controlled and has the TFI mounted on the distributor. Can I use the TFI wiring harness that plugs in inbetween the coil and the factory harness? I was just wondering since it made it a lot easier doing it like that on my car.
Would I see much improvement with a 6A? gas mileagee? performance?

MSD 6A istalation question
I didn't see a HUGE improvement with my 6A using the durafart II setup. Install wasn't too complicated. Startups are much "hotter" and reving seems smoother. There is a positive difference in performance, but not like a cam swap or switch to a four barrel. Mileage stayed the same. Go to MSD's website. They have a PDF schematic you can download for your TFI setup...I'd recommend spending the extra $$ for the harness.

When instaling using the TFI setup you must use the points end (white wire) on the 6A box vs. the Magnetic pickup that you would use on the Duraspark II system. I would reccomend installing a Duraspark II distributor!!! They are cheap enough and get much more performance out of them. It is an easier install too.
