1995 460?
Looking at a 460 from a 1995 f-450, is this a decent engine, power and reliability wise? looking to put it into my '56 f-100. Anything i should look for/at before i buy it??

From reading, I have heard the 460 is a very reliable sturdy engine. It is a low RPM engine in factory trim.
My experience is that the only problem I have had with my 460 with 93,000 on it is that the spark plugs like to get rusted into place. There is a chance that the ones on yours are rusted or maybe even stripped threads. I would check this.
Also would check the dipstick and oil cap to see if there is any water in the oil, looks like brownish pudding.
If you can run it in a chassis, I would check compression and oil and coolant appearance.
Unless the engine has been abused it should be in pretty good shape.
