Manual choke return

I have a holley 650 double pumper with a manual choke. The problem is that when I use the choke it closes fine but when I go to open it, the last little bit wont open. What I mean is when I push on the cable in the cab it will push in a little and then "spring" back out. When I go under the hood I need to pull the choke linkage about an 1/8' to the full open position. I keep adjusting the cable but it doesnt seem to have enough push to get the choke all of the way open. I mentioned this to someone at work and he said he had the same problem with a holley 2 barrel and used a "choke return spring". I look on the holley website and couldnt find anything about a choke return spring. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
thanks

I never had that problem with mine. Are you pulling it too tight and stretching the cable?

I figured out what the problem was, Its really stupid but the jam nut that holds the **** and cable to the dash braket came loose, so when I pushed the **** the cable housing went with it. Thanks anyway
