I've got a friends 25 goose -neck hooked up and ready to go tomorrow but need an adapter to hook up the trailer brakes and lights. Where can I get that tonight? I need it for in the morning.
Adapter from what to what? 7-way to 6-way can be found at a trailer repair/supply shop. This all assumes you have a brake control box in your truck. If you're trying to go from a flat 4 to a 6 or 7 prong, no such animal exists. Even if it did, it wouldn't function without a brake controller.

It is 7-way to 6-way and I just got back from Wally world and got one.
Make sure you check carefully that everything works before you tow. Especially your brakes.
I learned this summer, when hooking rental equipment to Dad's truck, that apparently there are a couple different ways to wire a 6 prong and therefore a couple different adapters.

I don't know if they make different adapters, but your right. The hot wire and brake control wire can be reversed depending on how the trailer is wired.
