A cross between a vipper and a vette, thats just what we need. The mustang is a pony car, we need a real race breed sports car to compete withe vipper and vette. The ford GT was great, but it was a limited run and cost too much. I mean I love stangs and they are a sports car, but there in a different class than a vette. Stangs can be driven my soccer moms, college girls and racers, it has to be a lot of things to different people, but this, it's a ford vette. Don't tell Smiggs I said this, but it's ok if it's canadain, it's still american, just north american.

This car was introduced years ago. Maybe 2004 or 2005. It was supposed to be Ford GT's replacement, but Ford never decided to build it.

Some of the photos make it to look like an Austin-Martin from the 007 James Bond Movie! Out on the Ice Fortress!

Wonder if Mr. Shelby likes it?

I agree!!!

I don't really know what to think of it. The styling doesn't really draw it to me, but man the engine and transmission do! I'd take one I guess. You wouldn't even have to twist my arm. Styling wise, the Vipers were so far ahead of their time. Why can't Ford put that 390 605HP V10 into the F250s and F350s? Now that'd be cool.

I remember the GR-1 from its appearance on the show Rides. They kept saying it would be the successor to the GT but Ford started having money problems soon after I guess. Somehow it looked better on TV than it does in the pictures. I believe the styling was derived from the Shelby Daytona coupe.

Ha! I caught ya!

I actually have to agree with your post.

I'm just waiting to see the price tag on this car......

Nevermind the insurance....

That's if it ever makes it into production.

Yeah Smiggs, I still like you, your my buddy. I know we get after each other on some subjects, but we also agree alot. We also entertain the rest of the board with our spats ha ha. Yeah, if this this cost as much as the ford GT, we've gained nothing. We need one in the 50 to 80 grand range to compete with the vette and vipper.

Well, there is going to be the GT 500 SuperSnake coming out this year with 600 & 725 hp versions with re-worked suspensions. I can't comment on how they will compete with the Vette or Viper until it's tested.

I don't know if they will be in the 50-80 range.

Wishful thinking.....
