electric assist choke
can anyone tell me the most efficient way to test an electric choke to see if it is still operational or burned out. Thanks in advance

I don't know of a cure all way to test the electric assist choke. The immediate difference I did see when I switched from a sole thermostatic choke to electric assist was that the choke could disegage a lot faster bumping the pedal whereas the thermostatic would take a long time before I could "bump" down the RPM's.

When I used to run a Carter AFB, it had an electric choke as well. The plastic cover was help in by three small phillips screws. Once I'd power the ignition (I had the choke wired into the ignition circuit) the choke would slowly begin to open. This action was visible with the plastic cover removed. <- Try this.
