The scanner connections on my 92 F150 5.0 is between the firewall and the driverside hood hinge. It is in a gray plastic cover with "EEC test" embossed on it. Pry the connectors from this gray hood. There are two connectors--one single lead connector and other with 5 or 6 leads going to it.

thanks phoneman! I saw that "box", but my buddy was telling me that was for something else and to keep looking under the dash for it.... wait till I see him again! my neck is killing me from looking under there!
