ordered DP tuesday after talking to John Wood about a torque converter problem,he spent about a half hour talking me out of buying a new torque and buying a DP tuner
well guess what his advice seems to have been dead on
I only got two tunes 40 tow and 80 econe for the time being (this won't last long)
power wise the 40 tow don't seem much different than hypertech 100 hp and very little smoke, think this will be my around town setting also
in 80 econo get a good belch of smoke and turbo spools much faster haven't had much time to play with this one yet
all in all truck is much different and torque converter and trans act like i want them to
I am considering a DP chip myself. I would like better power, better economy and earlier shifting.
Any recomendations?
I occasionally tow a 20ft trailer with a Kubota backhoe on board.

I also tow a kabota L-35 combination hoe that's why i got 40 tow 60 tow would have probly been fine when I get valve body will also get 60t
the shifting is surely better, will have to see how economy is
congrads!!!glad you got it in and like it..i love Jody's shifts in the tow tunes..i find better MPG with my 60 tow..i also climb alot of hills here..in 60 tow my truck hardly ever down shifts in the hills when i am just putting along..she will lug and climb in drive where as stock it would down shift all the time...

I really wanted the 60 tow but my biggest trailer would be border line and would rather be a little slow than hurt something
this was an experment that seems to have worked, once VB is in will get a few more tunes but didnt want too many to have to retune in a few months
yea I know, trying to keep this truck at a minimum, think bout getting a smaller SD
my brother-in-law has an 01 F250 with 29k miles I been tryingto beat him out of
