it's not you, its the site. and it's not your pc freezing up. either bandwidth related or server. i have the same issue. it is occasional but then it will come back up to speed

Try deleting you Browser History by selecting the tools menu and select the "delete all" option.
These pages are filled with Gif images, Flash animation and other stuff that can quickly fill up your hardrive.
It can also be you Internet Provider bandwidth, but if it only occurs on FTE site then I think not.

thats strange. i'm wondering if it is territory related. where is this site hosted from? I use bellsouth dsl to access from home. and a laptop from work. and it will sometimes slow down on me to the point where all i get are the gif images but no database from the forum tables. Interesting. i'll try the deleting of the temp folder and see if that helps. but to me if that were the case i would imagine more people would have the same problem

I assumed he was refering to this morning ,but after reading his original post again if it is everytime then try a different browser like firefox instead of ie to narrow down a I.E problem

Alot of the ads cause my browser to hang. This site has TONS of ads on it, and some really use up resources. Just take a look at your process explorer next time you sign in and load a page. Compare that to a site that doesnt have ads. HUGE difference.

You could always become a supporter and get rid of the ads, that may help.

If you are running AOL it is a known problem child with many websites, make sure you have the latest version of AOL and all the latest MS updates on your computer.

Or you can just lose the AOL and get a real ISP (biased technology professional talking) IMHO, only...
