sorry for the confusing title. recently had a new ford tranny installed,
(couldn't hold out for BTS) and now i have a unusual bouncing feeling right around 40 mph. isn't this approximately when the TC locks? if i'm on a relatively flat stretch of road, and barely into the throttle (almost coasting, but not quite) it feels almost like my truck bounces.
from what i had read, and the dealer told me, the new "heavy duty design" ford tranny was supposed to be comparable to aftermarket ones.......blah, blah blah. it supposedly had a heavier duty converter. could that be it. i mean aside from the occassional bouncing feeling, it drives/shifts great.
any thoughts. it has a 75k mile warranty, so not worried there, but wondered if it may be something else.
Mine does the same thing. It seems to the right speed where everything is vibrating just right and makes the truck bounce. Some are worse then others. You could try balancing the tires....it might help a little.
check your drive line center support bearing if the rubber part has play most likly that is your problem. They all have a little play but shouldn't be very much.
hope this helps
Billy
