rear diff shavings

Hi Guys, long time no post... I was at the oil change place yesterday and they found a fairly good sized clump of shavings on the diff plug magnet. They suggested I might go to the stealership to get it looked at, I thought I might try here to get a handle on what actually is wrong.
Any ideas?

Dave

Fuzz on the magnet is normal. If you don't have any noise, or actual chips I wouldn't worry about it. Just added some LSD fluid to mine yesterday after a Royal Purple fluid change a few months ago and I had some fuzz on the magnet even.

Thanks for the info, it was only fuzz not chips and I have not heard or felt anything weird coming from there... I will keep an ear out for anything.

Make damn sure the put 75W-140 synthetic fluid back in the rear diff and not a different grade or dino oil. Front 75W-90 dino or synthetic.
