Frank - First of all, welcome to the board. Glad to have you.
The Service Manual says that the standard wheel was a 16 x 4 1/2 "K". I don't find anywhere that defines what that letter "K" stands for. They are Drop Center (DC), five lug x 5.5" bolt circle, and have .62" of offset if that matters to you. There were three tire options. First was a 6.00 x 16 with a 4 ply rating; next a 6.00 x 16 with a 6 ply rating; and third a 6.50 x 16 with a 6 ply rating. Stu

Stu , many thanks for your help. I find out for what letter "k" stands. Is the tyre bead profil. Look at www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg2.html . Frank

Welcome to FTE
Since more than one vendors wheels were used then (and now), Ford uses abbreviations in the parts catalogs wheel application and identity charts to designate each wheels supplier.
The Ford parts catalog says that K is the abbreviation for Kelsey-Hayes.
Others: A = Alcoa / B = Budd / F = Firestone
