...Here is a side pic of a truck I may buy. It has these chrome panels on the bottom.....I'll be buying this from a distance, and I'd hate to go see the truck and find out I cannot remove these without leaving holes or something.
You guys have any idea how these are attached?? If 'stuck' on, will they remove okay? Any other thoughts??
Huh. I cannot attach pics for some reason! Anyways, you guys have all seen them---they have a width or about 12", and attach to the bottom of the doors, and extend from one end of the truck to the other.
Double sided taped on, they can be removed, it is a pain, have a skilled body shop do it, theres tools to remove the tape once the chrome is peeled off, unless you get lucky and all the tape comes off the body, but ive never seen that happen.
use heavy fishing line to remove . move behind . But the double tape comes right off with some elbow grease and degreaser or other cleaner. Any body shop can take them off for you with no damage.
