Would someone do me a favor and measure your front springs from eye to eye while loaded. I need this info as I'm wanting to put Superduty springs under my 69 Crew Cab and need to know how far to extend my mounts. Also does the axle run center on these springs or offset???? And what is that measurement?
which springs are you putting on. You said superduty springs which I consider to be 99-04 springs or are you talking F-superduty springs (pre99 f-450). The spring no matter which ones are 3 inhc wide. The 97 and old springs aren't centered and the 99-04 are centered with in .5 to 1 inch (there is some difference of opinion on that!)
I guess what I would like to know is from what year truck are you getting springs.

Well that is the beauty of it... I will use which ever will work the best for my application. Just need to gather the right info.
Pre 97 aren't centered.... is the short side forward? Are the 99-04 longer eye to eye? What happened to 98.... was that a bad year. LOL
Did my new avatar scare you? Scared the wife, she didn't want her face on the net. Must be wanted for something.
That's too funny, yeah the hat blew right off my head Is windy over there too?
BTW: That was last saturday, just starting to heal. Hehe! We won the best costume award.
No heavy duty truck made in 98. only the f-150 and a light duty f-250 (newer body style)
Well for the rest of it. looking at Cuda Jim's measure ment I would say the 97 and older springs are shorter on the front end. The 99-04 are longer eye to eye by about 4 inches. and the center pin is nearly centered unlike the 97 and older spring. also the 99-04 spring will provide a nicer ride. The key to this whole deal is that when you do this don't put the shackle in the front like Ford designed the 97 and older. put it in the rear like the 99-04's. take a ride in each other those trucks and you will see what I am talking about.
Many 97 and older guys are going thru the trouble (it's not easy!) to swap to 99-04 spring with a reverse shackle. if you want some good reading let me know and I can point you in the direction of some guys who have done it. I really want to do it myself just have to get some parts and time and money!

There is a wealth of info on another forum. Its not all in one place but it is talked about nearly every day. use the search function and search for "RSK" and "superduty springs" and you will have days of reading to do through. here is the link http://forums.ford-trucks.com/forums...oard=20&page=1
