ford factory chrome nerf bars?
I found a set of nerf bars for $75. They are used, off an '05 150 SCrew the seller says. He also says they are factory ford chrome bars?
Did ford offer factory chrome nerf bars? If so, are they pretty sturdy? I have seen pics, but haven't seen them in person. Is $75 a pretty good deal?

I have them on my FX4 and they are pretty sturdy. I am a bit over 200lbs and I use them everytime I get in and out of my truck. I have also stood on them for awhile and they seem to be fine. I think they are aluminum though, hollow on the back and I have the plastic covers where you step.

'04 F-150, Long box, 4.6, 3.70 rear end, I searched hard and long for nerf bars and after seeing the rusted out painted and chromed available, opted for all stainless, hangers and screws included.
The worlds largest manufacturer of this stuff is in Taiwan, and if my memory serves me, is called NASTA.
I bought mine through e-bay, stainless throughout, with turned and sealed ends, bolted right on my XL in about 15 minutes. I think I paid 249.00 for the pair. Later Dudes.

nerf bars
I have the factory FX4 chrome nerf bars on my 05 SCREW. They work and look just fine as long as you keep them clean and polished. If you let them get all chipped up they can start to rust.
