OK. Mine does not have a canceling cam. My truck did not have one when I got it. Where can I get one and how are they installed.
The canceling cam rarely goes bad, and the correct one...if yours is truely missing was used 1964/70. The # is: C3MY-13318-A = I doubt you will find this part at an autoparts store.
The canceling cam works in conjunction with the tabs of the turn signal switch, and those tabs break off. Ford never sold parts of the signal switch separately. The switch, however is still available from Ford and lists for $57.72.
C9TZ-13341-C .. Turn Signal Switch ~ Fits F100/350 1967/68 and 1969 thru serial #G30,000.
Yeah my turn signal switch is all new. Sorry for the confusion. The part I think that I am missing is the part that actually trips the white plastic thing back to the middle position. On some other cars and trucks it is a metal round piece that installs somehow over the steering shaft and spring. In some cases it looks to be shaped like a "C" only with a tit on it to actuate the canceling feature. I was just curious if my truck would have come with one and where I can get another. Maybe someone will tear their steering wheel apart and verify for us as to what the peice actually looks lile for our trucks.

Thanks for all the input.
You described the canceling cam perfectly. And yes, your truck came with one originally. The one you need fits 1964/67 F100/250's (except 4WD) and 1968/70 F100/350's. It's also the same one used on: 1963/64 Mercs and Ford Galaxies: C3MY-13318-A.
The parts catalog is a little vague on what the number is...but this seems to be correct: C1TZ-13318-A ~ Used on 1961/67 F100/250 4WD's / 1961/66 F350's / 1961/67 Econolines / 1969/74 Econolines (there is no 1968 Econoline)

if I were to guess I'd say it was the switch, as mentioned they have little plastic levers that cancel the signal. after this many years that plastic has to be very brittle. I replaced mine with a universal kit that the local parts stores carry for around $10 but if you plan on keeping and driving the truck I wouldn't recommend it, spend the $60 to buy the complete replacement. the kit is difficult to install and get to work right. I got mine from NAPA since their parts seem to be a little better quality and one of the plastic levers broke in the first year then the electronic contacts failed not too long after that. I haven't used one of the complete switch replacements from Ford or places like LMC trucks carry but it has to be better than those cheap kits.
