Question about factory head unit

I have a 2001 SuperCrew XLT with premium sound (single CD). I'd like to replace the head unit with something that will allow me to line in my MP3 player, and play MP3 CDs. Does anyone know how many watts RMS that head unit puts out? I want to be sure the aftermarket head unit is comperable, and I can't seem to find that information anywhere. Thanks.

Pretty much all aftermarket units are going to put out more RMS power than the stock radio. I strongly suggest going with a good brand name radio (Alpine, Clarion, Eclipse, Kenwood, Pioneer) over cheaper units though. It will save you money in the long run.
