Hi every one I have a 78 f100 the dash light behind the gas gauge and the oil pressure gauge is out. And its dark up to 20mph on my speedometer my question is are they all the same bulb and can some one tell me the bulb number. When I called autozone and my local advance auto parts they said the computer didnt show which bulb number its was. Since the truck is my only way of getting around I dont wanna have to take it apart and put back to gether to go to the store. I just wanna replace them all and clean every thing up and be done with it!! Thanks in advance for all you help!
What do you suggest to clean them up with I have crc contact cleaner, and I have a small brush set. Should I snag any thing else why I am there? Thanks for all the help and the pictures!
Just a tip.... IF you have a certain color interior and would like your dash to light up the same color, you could get some colored 194's and take out the blueish green half circles inside the gauge cluster. This also makes for a brighter cluster. I like the way mine looks at night on my Bronco.
I cleaned my circuit with rubbing alcohol and Q tips(wasn't to bad to start with).
actually the Domes for the Turn signal indicators are BLUE..
Yellow light mixed with BLUE lens make a GREEN tint...thus what one sees with the lights on
Thanks, didn't remember what to call them.
The domes are a blue color, but not just a regular blue, almost appears to have something a little different to them, but right, the light makes the color come out green. With out them, the gauge is a lot brighter, and if it's to bright, just dim them until satisfied.
