Seen a diesel locomotive lately with an I6?

And thier V8's-V24's could drag an OTR tractor anywhere...

OTR tractors have I6's for servicability and packaging reasons... not because they are a "real diesel".

Even though it is a concept and we shouldn't look too much into it, ( IMHO ) I think they are smart NOT to go with a new diesel motor design and use something that is already out. But who knows, they could surprise everyone and if they build it, a brand new motor could be in there.

So I guess Toyota's magical fuel mileage aura will enchant any engine they put in anything, huh?

Try and find a mid/fullsize SUV that DOES get decent fuel mileage. Actually the Durango with the MDS probably gets the best of all of them.

[QUOTE=DonJames]Pretty ugly. I dont understand why they bother to slap duals on there if they still never proved themselves to have a good enough frame to handle the payload a dually would anyways. Excessive bed bounce is caused by a weak frame also. The frame is the backbone to every vehicle. You also rate the capacity or strength of something by its weakest point. The frame is weak and its the backbone! Pretty scarry.

I guess if we are taking anything off Youtube as fact:

At least this test is done by a third party.

Look at that "weak frame". The test was actually conducted by Toyota so it must be true! Note: CarDataVideo

So hybrids and tiny cars get good mileage. I never would have guessed!

Oh, and look! 3 out of that 10 are Toyotas! That must mean they all get good mileage!

You realize you were the only one in this thread that stated this right?

Just mention the word "Toyota" and the fireworks go off.....

I was reading a article bout it. It showed a 5th wheel hitch that 24k on it. Ppl in the article said that the thing could probally tow 24 k because of what it said on the 5th wheel hitch. U think that is true?

I wouldn't bank on that too much seeing it's still a concept vehicle.

One of those "believing it when you see it" senarios.
