It looks like at least not only Dodge knows what a real diesel is but so does Toyota. I-6. If V8 diesels were better you would see them in all over the road big rigs, but you don't I-6s.
Seen a diesel locomotive lately with an I6?
And thier V8's-V24's could drag an OTR tractor anywhere...
OTR tractors have I6's for servicability and packaging reasons... not because they are a "real diesel".
Even though it is a concept and we shouldn't look too much into it, ( IMHO ) I think they are smart NOT to go with a new diesel motor design and use something that is already out. But who knows, they could surprise everyone and if they build it, a brand new motor could be in there.
[QUOTE=DonJames]Pretty ugly. I dont understand why they bother to slap duals on there if they still never proved themselves to have a good enough frame to handle the payload a dually would anyways. Excessive bed bounce is caused by a weak frame also. The frame is the backbone to every vehicle. You also rate the capacity or strength of something by its weakest point. The frame is weak and its the backbone! Pretty scarry.
I was reading a article bout it. It showed a 5th wheel hitch that 24k on it. Ppl in the article said that the thing could probally tow 24 k because of what it said on the 5th wheel hitch. U think that is true?

I wouldn't bank on that too much seeing it's still a concept vehicle.
One of those "believing it when you see it" senarios.
