Anyone use Amsoil?
Here are couple of recent threads on the subject.

My dealer has one die hard Amsoil fanatic that complains constantly and argues he has bad injectors. When hooked up to the WDS the injector imbalance is high which makes the truck run very rough, once the oil is changed no more problems. Later in the year, same problem once he changes back to Amsoil...
The whole Amsoil theory is to go long intervals to save money, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out his dealer visits have cut well into his budget.
The Powerstroke loves fresh oil, and no air introduced into the high pressure oil system. Look for the API rating on the oil you use. That insures the oil will not foam or shear under the conditions the Powerstroke needs to run properly.
Salesmen can sell anything, I am sure people who live southern Florida would buy snow shovels if approached with the right attitude.
AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-40 is the best pick for API CJ-4 emission standard diesel oil required by year model 2007 and newer model diesel engines. This premium diesel oil provides superb lubrication for engines found in diesel fleets, commercial diesel engines, and personal diesel-engined vehicles. Formulated with the most modern of additives and synthetic-based oil technology, this diesel engine oil far surpasses the increased demands of performance- based newer engines. AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-40 diesel engine oil withstands the punishment of soot, acids and heat to aid in resisting wear, deposits and corrosion. This diesel engine oil, with its wide range of viscosity, is perfect for both summer and winter use. It defends against breakdown and, if checked by analysis of the oil, the drain intervals can be extended.
Amsoil does carry a API CJ 4 oil that is used for 07 and newer.

The information you cut and pasted from the Amsoil website is slick marketing by Amsoil an they would like you to believe there oil is API CJ-4 certified & licensed, it is not however and therefore does not meet FMC engine oil requirements.
When and oil is API Certified & Licensed it must carry the "Starburst &/or Donut". There are very specific rules set down by API that all licensed oils and oil licensees must follow for there oil to be API Certified. Amsoil is an API licensee, they just do not have any "API CJ-4 certified & licensed" oils.

This is the great thing about FTE, the members are known to be doubtful of marketing and request verifiable proof with supporting documents. Fortunately with the internet the API site is now readily available to all, so the truth can be found.
Also for more oil info FTE has an oil forum and then there is the grandaddy of oil forum BITOG

Read the requirements of labeling for API Certification & Licensing. Amsoil is an API member but only has 1 API Certified Diesel Oil and it is PCO CI-4+.
Amsoil is scamming you with their labling on the DEO bottles. It does not meet the licensing requirements.
Check the API website links have been posted numerous times, please read and study them.
