The Tank is back together and on the road again, and now the engine, tranny and rear diff look good as new. I added a few pics in my gallery for anyone interested.
Great pictures, Jeff!! Looks like you are on the way. Are you going to do a "frame off" in the future? Looks like you have a considerable amount of body work to do. One piece at a time and before long it will look like new. My '50 F-1 is still in pieces as I am doing a frame off before I put it on the road. Wish I could have driven it before I started, but the PO had started disassembly before I bought the truck. Keep us posted on your progress.
Gil - I haven't really decided how much detail I want underneath. Definitely want the body repaired and painted. I have pretty much everything for the interior sitting in the basement.
Frank - The engine color is the famous Detroit Diesel Alpine Green, Duplicolor 318-DE1618. I've noticed that it photographs lighter than it looks in person, especially with a flash in use. I plan on the body being either 1950 Palisade Green (the original color) or more likely 1953's Seafoam Green, which looks a close match to what it is now. Either way I figure the engine color will be a good compliment, and is supposed to be close to the original engine color.
