292 Y-block Forged Internals
What years did they make forged internals for the y-block? And exactly which parts were forged (crank, rods, piston...)?
I've been working on a '64 F100 with a C2AE casting # on the 292 block and I think I read somewhere that this block had forged parts.
Any help appreciated. Thanks/

Y block
the C2AE block is probally the best block to get aside of the ECZ block, if the motor is out and you have access to look at the flywheel end of the crank shaft, a quick way to identify the crank type is by its flywheel end design.there is several types. i dont know how to post a pic for you, or i would send a diagram with the different varietys. hope something here helps
