i'm rebuilding a c6 for a 75 f250 4x4 using factory manuals from 77. the book shows a pressure boost valve sleeve retainer that needs to be removed but i dont have one. How do i remove the sleeve? it also shows a reverse clutch check ball and a seperator plate screen that i don't have. otherwise everything seems kosher. thanks for any help.
Stupid question, but did the the transmission feel like it had some sort of shift modifications made? It could be that it was re-worked in a previous life. I personally would go to a trans shop and have them re-do the valve body, probably will cost you an hours labor. Either that, or rob a stock valve body and trade them out.
Mil1ion, i posted in the trans forum too but thought i might get a quicker response here. thanks for the link but i didn't see what i was looking for. i actually posted here hoping you would reply.
masterbeavis, ive never had the vehicle running that this trans was out of so don't know about a shift kit. trans has been apart before but i think this stock valve body. doesnt have the holes for the check ball or sleeve retainer, like it was an older valve body casting than my book shows.
