would the 08 fit good with a few mods or look dumb? what kind of mods? and write-ups on it? i thought the 07 was the cool lookin one. i like the super duty on the back and the huge ford emblem from the 08. my bad.

The '08 has an assist spring to help with closing the tailgate. From what I have read, you'll need to drill a few holes to facilitate the spring installation. I know a few guys have done it, but I don't think anyone has done a write-up on it.

With an '08 tailgate, you'll also need new tail lights if you want the gate to line-up properly.
